About Zen5

Built for the modern desk

Zen5 is a daily mobility and mindfulness practice for people who spend their days in front of a screen. Five focused minutes — no equipment, no app fatigue, no performative wellness — designed to undo the quiet toll of sitting, scrolling, and shallow breathing.

Grounded in research

Every routine draws on protocols backed by peer-reviewed research in musculoskeletal health, respiratory physiology, and cognitive performance:

  • Movement snacks. Short, frequent mobility breaks ease discomfort and build postural endurance more reliably than one long session.
  • Slow nasal breathing. Longer exhales engage the parasympathetic nervous system, lowering heart rate and perceived stress within minutes.
  • The 20-20-20 rule. An ophthalmology-backed habit that reduces digital eye strain during long stretches of screen time.
  • Micro-meditation. Even under five minutes, brief mindfulness practice measurably improves attention and emotional regulation.

The format is intentionally minimal. Five minutes is short enough to actually do every day — and consistency, not intensity, is what the research rewards.
